Short enough to clear a wall cabinet
Tall dispensers get exiled to the floor because the lid will not open under a cupboard. This one is built the other way around: the height stays low, so you refill it where it stands, on the counter, with the shelf above untouched.

Five kilos keeps its own pace
A smaller chamber means the grain turns over faster, which is its own kind of freshness. For one or two people a full fill gets eaten before it has time to go stale or draw damp. Dry dog food and coffee beans behave the same way in there.

The slot for a desiccant pack
The freshness compartment holds a desiccant or a natural deterrent, and it does more work in a small kitchen than a large one: less grain, and more humidity swinging off a cooker that is one step away. Star anise is the cheap standard answer.

Counter beside the rice cooker, a cabinet shelf, or the narrow slot next to the refrigerator. Clear walls show the level, white fittings read as neutral against most cabinet fronts, and the body wipes clean with a cloth. It handles beans, dry pet food and anything else you keep in rotation.
