A scale printed up the cup
The measuring cup is transparent with graduations on the side, so half a portion is a line to stop at rather than a guess. That helps when the recipe is written in cups and the number of people at the table changes from one evening to the next.

A ring, not a friction lid
The lid closes onto an integrated sealing ring, which is the difference between a container that is shut and one that is airtight. Humidity and cooking odors stay outside the PP chamber, and rice poured in last month comes out behaving like rice poured in today.

One press, a controlled stream
The button and the internal slope between them give a steady flow rather than a dump. Nothing breaks loose in a clump, nothing scatters a ring of grain around the base, and there is no wiping afterward. Soybeans and sago run through it as smoothly as rice.
Where it lives
A countertop in a gray and steel kitchen, or a cabinet shelf if you would rather not look at it. The rectangular body keeps the footprint tight for thirteen pounds of capacity. Food-grade PP throughout, wiped outside and emptied for a proper wash. The insect box at the top stays loaded with star anise.
