Cereal boxes fail at the same two jobs: they do not close and they do not pour. This 3-liter keeper does both. A spout that aims the stream
Tip the keeper and the cereal leaves through a molded spout rather than over a wide open rim. That is the difference between a bowl of granola and a counter of it. The spout carries its own silicone seal, so it closes as tightly as the lid does.

Four clips, one per side
The lid locks with a clip on each of the four sides, pulling the silicone ring down evenly instead of trusting one hinge to do the work. Press all four and the contents are shut off from kitchen air and from the damp that comes off a boiling pot.

Milliliter marks down the wall
The clear PET wall carries milliliter markings, so portioning rice or oats takes a glance rather than a separate cup. The marks also tell you how much is left without opening anything, which matters when the keeper holds birdseed or laundry pods.

Counter, pantry shelf, or the cabinet above the cooker. Beyond cereal it takes flour, oats, beans, nuts, birdseed, pet food and laundry pods. The mouth is wide and the inside is smooth, so a hand with a cloth reaches the bottom corners, and PET will not shatter if the keeper slides off the counter.
