The spring that lifts itself
Press down and the mechanism pushes back up when you release, so your hand is not prying a plate off wet ground meat. Across a dozen patties for a cookout, that spring is the difference between a job and a chore. It is also what keeps the thickness even batch to batch.

Thin smash or thick and juicy
Thickness is adjustable, so one tool makes a smash patty for the flat top and a thick one for the grill. Stuffed burgers, sliders, sausage and vegetable patties form in the same press. Ground beef is only the default, not the limit.
