Twist until the ring bites
The lock works by rotation. Turn the lid and the mechanism compresses a food-grade silicone ring onto the rim, shutting out air and damp. No clips to fatigue, no pressing down on a brittle lip. Turning it back releases the seal with one hand still holding the jar.
